The Music Ministry is a vibrant and expanding part of Walnut Creek Church.  Walnut Creek is endeavoring to build a team of singers and musicians that enjoy bringing honor to God by dedicating their talent to Him.  We want to share the joy that God has given to us so that others may find life through music and worship.

The Singers and Musicians

The people involved in the music at Walnut Creek Church believe they were created to worship God.  Each one has a story of God’s work in their life, and can tell how knowing God in a personal relationship has brought meaning and joy to their lives.  Sometimes the singers and musicians at Walnut Creek are a bit radical in their praise to God!  They take to heart the passage from the Bible (Psalm 100) that says “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth!  Worship the Lord with gladness, come before Him with joyful songs!”

The Music We Sing

You’ll find the music at Walnut Creek joyful, worshipful and meaningful!  Sometimes you will see people moving with the music because they have found a freedom in their lives that literally causes them to want to dance before God!  Quite often you will see people raise their hands as they sing.  This is simply an expression that comes from the heart that says “I lift my life and heart to you, Lord!  I surrender!”  Sometimes you will see someone moved to tears in a time of meaningful worship.  All of these things are great expressions from the heart to God! 

The Place to Serve

The Music Ministry at Walnut Creek offers opportunities to serve!  Along with the need for singers and musicians, we offer opportunities in sound and multi-media assistance.  If you are interested in becoming a part of the music and worship ministry, contact Connie Cross, the Music and Worship Pastor of Walnut Creek.    Opportunities are open for vocalists in various areas - praise and worship team, WCC Ensemble, special groups...opportunities are open for musicians in various areas as well!  There is a place for you to serve, if you have a skill and talent to share, and a heart of worship and service!  We have so much fun singing together, and we are looking for new participants!
